Specialized Turbo Vado 3.0

The Turbo Vado 3.0 is Specialized's practical commuter e-bike, the one that shows up already wearing everything you need. The E5 aluminum frame carries a fully integrated, lockable 530 Wh battery that removes without tools for charging indoors, and Specialized's Turbo Full Power motor amplifies your pedaling rather than replacing it, which is why the Vado still feels like riding a bike. In the US it is a Class 3 bike with assist to 28 mph.
What makes it work on a Tuesday morning is the equipment list. DRYTECH full-wrap fenders, integrated front and rear lights, a heavy-duty rear rack rated for 60 lb and compatible with child seats, and a kickstand all come fitted. An 80 mm suspension fork and higher-volume tires take the sting out of broken pavement. The MasterMind display shows range and assist level and connects to the Specialized app for tuning and over-the-air updates, and Turbo System Lock disables the motor so a stolen bike is not a working bike. Shimano handles shifting and braking with hydraulic discs.
