Bootfitter's Advice
The pattern we see most with wide feet is a shell bought a full size long to escape forefoot pressure, which then leaves the heel loose and the skier fighting for edge control. This shell addresses the cause: get the length right, then let the dial hold the forefoot evenly. Confirm size with a shell fit rather than a street-shoe conversion.
Start the dial looser than feels correct, because a BOA closes more evenly than a buckle and over-tightening is easy to miss until the second run. Polyurethane punches and grinds normally if a bony spot needs room, and the liner is worth molding on day one. Sole length for this shell is not published in a form we can verify, so we measure the boot before setting a binding.
