Why We Like It

Voile is direct about the limit: the Traction Pattern base is not a replacement for skins on steep climbs or icy tracks, and grip falls off on cold dry snow. Treat it as the tool for gentle climbs, traverses and meadows, and keep skins for the rest. Sizing follows the family pattern, with a 154 at 119-90-105 mm on a 16.5 m radius and 1,165 g per ski, and a 184 at 133-98-116 mm on a 20 m radius and 1,680 g per ski.
The Voile Vector BC takes AT bindings and telemark bindings, and quiver killers void the Voile factory warranty. Use the boot center mark on the topsheet, which Voile charts size by size, and leave out any reinforcing plate. Match binding to your boot sole norm, size brakes to the waist at your length from 90 mm at 154 cm to 98 mm at 184 cm, and carry skins at a 120 mm stock width. Skins stick over the scales without difficulty.
