Such a solid solid board. Not the lightest, but definitely one of the funnest most solid boards i have ever ridden. Equally at home in deep tree pow as it is on steep gnar terrain. I often ride it inbounds before heading out for an afternoon tour and it does that really well. I often forget im riding a split not a solid...

All around reliability

durable construction. rugged top sheet. and bomber profile. I've put this board to the test smashing it against everything from bottomless pow to bulletproof ice and rock.

no matter what I do to this board it holds up strong in every condition. steep and narrow couloirs, pillows in the trees, and every variaty of terrain in between the Backwoods is a solid choice and a quiver killer if there ever was one.

I rely on my gear to get me up and down and have felt confident with the Backwoods under my feet. its the go to choice especially when packing for a trip where you don't know what you'll encounter.

The soul board

Snowboarding is about having fun and this board is exactly all about that. 20 years of snowboarding and this is my board of choice for open faces, tight trees, laying trenches and soul turns. The forward mounted touring bracket helps keep walking efficient in the backcountry, whilst the stubby tail and rocker nose makes ripping softer snow an absolute joy!

Does it All

This board really can do it all. From ripping big open faces, to surfing tight trees, to bottomless face shots this board feels right at home. The directional set up feels super surfy and turns on a dime. While in big terrain it feels great just opening it up. You can score pow turns in the northern aspects then rip corn in the south all in the same day feels like this board is just made for it. When I'm not sure what the conditions are going to be I’m pulling the Backwoods off the shelf (also most days when I do know what the conditions are).

My go to board on a pow day

We all enjoy pow turns through the trees. The Backwoods just makes it easier with a wider nose and narrower tail. This makes for easy flotation and quick turns. And I really dig the skin system that Weston boards offer as it is quick at the transitions and effective on the skin track.

More than just a pow board

The Backwoods is my favorite board. All the float you want and expect from this shape. But I was stoked to find it was stable and nimble. I ride a lot of tight trees in the PNW and I’ve ridden in AK with this board. Absolutely love it.
