Phantom Permanent Waxless Glide

These skis were perfect for the backcountry to take to Mount Carlisle Lodge in Selkirks. Snow was fast and so were the skis with Phantom wax. Ski is light, surfs well in powder, edges on the alpine wind blown crust, and is an all around GREAT backcountry ski. I trust it in all conditions.

Really liked the gear. I had a little trouble picking the skis up and had to come back a few times. Everyone in the store was very engaged with customers and it was busy. I really appreciate how good the staff is at working with customers on picking the right gear and I think that experience is better than other ski shops. It can just be difficult if you are only hoping to stop in and out. Having to come back a few times won't affect me continuing to use the Avon cripple creek. In the future if I'm just picking something up I'll adjust my schedule so I'm not coming in at 5pm when the store was busy. And if I need anything bigger I'll use the appointments because that is an awesome experience.

It needs a little real wax to get optimum glide, but it was pretty good out of the box. I tried it partly out of laziness, partly out of curiosity. Snow conditions were favorable, but still it worked well with no further prep. I did wax after that :)

The guys at the shop were super friendly and knowledgeable. I brought my skis into the shop to have the Phantom Permanent Waxless Glide professionally applied to them. The skis we ready on time – dropped them of in the afternoon and were ready when the shop opened the next morning! Would definitely recommend Cripple Creek Backcounty for all your skiing needs!

Again, the staff did not disappointment me! Before and after the base treatment was applied to my skis, the staff took the time to educate me on function of the application and what to expect when skiing on them the 1st couple of times after application. This is my 3rd pair of skis with Phantom, it's the only way to go. Cripple Creek applied to my new skis (DPS) professionally, and I'll never have to wax again. My other skis that were treated glide great. It's a brilliant product, and as a bonus, does not leach chemicals into the snow or expose me to fumes from waxing. I'll never own skis without Phantom.

Two days on the skis with Phantom installed. It is slick in powder and hard wind crust - which is all I've skied so far with these skis. I'm going to get my other skis done too. We'll see how it works in spring, though.
