Everyone knows that boots are the most important part of any ski setup. They connect the skier to the skis, but what about the interface between the skiers foot and the boot itself? Ski boots are these hard plastic shells that we are trying to get our very squishy human shaped feet to fit into properly.

This is where the venerable foot bed comes in. Sidas has designed a selection of footbeds specifically for skiing and the various shapes of feet out there. The arch support and deeper heel cup provided will help keep your feet in a neutral position, thus preventing over-pronation and various foot ailments that might arise with poor support and position - your feet will be thanking you at the end of the day!

Perfect fit for my Alpine Boots

I know CCBC is mostly backcountry gear, but they’re my go to shop for boot fitting. These footbeds put my foot in the right position to be able to wear my 27.5 alpine boots without having my toes jam the front of the shell.

Boot punch and insoles purchased

I had a brand new Technica Mach 1 120 MV boot punched out for my wonky foot and purchased a pair of insoles at same time. Great service and punch was spot on. Went skiing next day and zero foot pain on my navicular area in boot, which is a tricky punch to get right. Expectations exceeded!!

The insoles worked great along with heat molding.

Came in and got my insoles heat molded and new insoles put into an older model Dynafit Beast boot. Took the boot out to baker last weekend and toured two days, 8 miles or so total with no foot pain and no noticeable hotspots in the boot.

New comfy boots!

Brought my slightly painful too narrow Scarpa boots in for some punching out and Katie suggested new insoles as well to keep the feet from spreading and pushing into the too narrow sides. Good idea! Haven’t hit the slopes yet, but I have faith that my problem is solved.
