    Tech Specs

The Weston Range is a splitboard that brings freestyle style to the world of backcountry riding. The board has a Multi-Radial Twin Rocker-Camber profile that has camber underfoot with rocker in both the tip and tail. Only a 10mm set back stance allows for switch riding and a close to symmetrical shape - so feel free to get sassy with spins, pops and all of that other stuff. The board is built on the Slayer Wood Core, a Weston classic combination of bamboo and poplar. Tip and Tail carbon stringers go from the binding mounts to the tip and tail to provide more pop and energy at the ends of the board while keeping the center more flexible (ideal for freestyle trickery). Weston states this board to have a 7/10 flex pattern, so an above-average stiffness. If you are looking for a splitboard that can handle any snow condition, has the ability to spin and ride switch, while still offering float in deep snow the Range split is the board.

    Now I can uphill

First splitboard. It does the trick for being able to uphill and then go down in your preferred mode. Feels a little skittish compared to regular snowboards but that's partly due to the non-resort terrain and minimalist bindings. The 2 planks are noticeably separate when transitioning - there is play between them even though butted together. But not noticeable when riding. Totally worth it. Opens up a new world of winter fun.

My board came in excellent condition and was shipped fast. I haven't rode it since it's August in the PNW but I'm really looking forward to it. Cripple Creek Backountry crew were great and asked sent an email to check in. Would definitely buy from them again.
