Beacon Guides Light Tours of Colorado (2nd Edition)

With a huge increase in Backcountry travelers over the past few years, more and more people are wanting to get out and explore all the backcountry in Colorado has to offer. Whether you are new to the sport or have spent your first couple seasons skinning at your local resort, now is the perfect time to get out and explore some backcountry beauty. 

Legendary Backcountry skier Lou Dawson released the 1st edition of Light Tours of Colorado some years ago. The 2nd edition is being released just in time for the 2021-22 winter season. In the new edition the routes have nearly doubled to provide more ways to get up and down safely in the backcountry. The 2nd edition has also done away with some of the resort pages as the ever changing environment with new routes and closures has caused a bit of a hiccup in maintaining the most up to date information. 

If you are Brand new to the Backcountry or are just wanting to explore new zones in the safest of ways, pick up a copy of the 2nd edition and start discovering all this Great state of Colorado has to offer in the winter months.
