Cripple Creek is now a 4 season outfitter specializing in uphill skiing/splitboarding in the winter, and fast and light, human-powered activities in the summer. We are hiring for all aspects of the business from online and social media marketing to retail sales and shop techs.

Shipping and Receiving Coordinator: $21-26/hr

Location: Carbondale / Roaring Fork Valley
Full or Part Time (Minimum 24 hours a week)

The position:
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is behind the scenes magician who keeps the business running and is responsible for supporting the accurate and timely processing of incoming inventory, outgoing packages and transfers between our amazing mountain shops. As we are still a small business, you will sometimes be the actual driver between stores or the coordinator of other employees for the replenishment, and organization of product into locations.

What you will do:
  • Shipping of outgoing packages
  • Leading by example with accountability and quality of work.
  • Accurate and timely receiving of orders
  • Ensuring adherence to standard work processes and guidelines.
  • Conduct team meetings
  • Pull daily reports
  • Driving between our 4 Roaring Fork Valley Locations
  • Additional duties as required.

Downhill and Touring Crossover Sales - $19-$25/hr

Location: Willits
Full Time: Please only apply if you can work 32 hours a week +

We are expanding Cripple Creek Backcountry by partnering with Basalt Bike and Ski at our new Willits location. This location is one of the Roaring Fork Valley's busiest tune and rental shops. In addition to helping with tunes and rentals, we are looking for motivated new team members to lead this location to be the premier specialty retailer of alpine, hybrid and freeride touring gear.

No experience necessary, just an openmindness for new systems and skills. We offer on-the-job training toward great industry careers, unlimited access to our large demo fleet, and discounts on all downhill and touring gear you want and need.

Ski Touring or Splitboarding Sales- $19-$24/hr

Location: Carbondale, Aspen Highlands

We are looking for aspiring ski touring or splitboarding experts at several of our locations. Our ski touring and splitboarding experts are responsible for all areas of customer service from in-person retail to online sales and knowledge. An intense desire to learn and an affinity toward gear nerding a must. No previous retail experience is necessary, just an excitement for equipping new skiers and snowboards with the right gear for their new life changing experience.

Bike Mechanic - $20-$30/hr

Location: Carbondale, Willits

Cripple Creek Backcountry is a leader in human powered travel for backcountry skiing and NOW biking as well. Our Seattle location is hiring a Master Bike Technician who loves gravel biking, mountain biking, road biking, or good old school hard tailing. If you ride full squish, that's cool too. Cripple Creek Backcountry Seattle will begin servicing gravel grinders and other bikes out of our Fremont location. We will also be selling carbon and titanium frame gravel bikes and looking for an experienced candidate that is looking to have an awesome job in the outdoor industry. We plan to continue to expand our bike sales and service offerings as the CCBC bike program grows.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years in bike shop repair experience
  • Complete knowledge of modern bikes
  • Ski Tech experience is a plus, however not required. Willing to learn ski/board services (tunes and repairs)
  • Open minded with strong communication skills
  • Able to work with customers in a friendly and informative manor regardless of their experience/knowledge
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be able and willing to lift up to 50 pounds and be able to be on your feet for a prolonged period of time
  • Full-time employment is 32+ hours a week and includes being able to work some weekends and holidays.
Essential Job Functions
  • Complete tunes and repairs in a timely manner according to deadlines set with customers and managementAble to perform stellar tunes, wheel trues, brake bleeds, fork service and complete bike builds
  • Sell merchandise in bike shop including retail bikes, components, & protection
  • Maintain a clean and organized bike shop
  • Maintain a safe work environment adhering to all safety regulations within the Service Department
  • Partake in regularly scheduled staff/service meetings and events

Ski and Splitboard Shop Technician - $19-$22/hr

Location: Willits

We are looking motivated, detail oriented, and mechanically inclined individuals to join our shop tech team at multiple locations. Ideally candidates will come with experience on the mounting bench, but we are happy to consider those with no experience so long as you are mechanically inclined and eager to learn!
