The SCOTT Ransom 600 Bike is a kids' full-suspension mountain bike built for young riders who want to session the bike park, ride faster enduro trails, and eventually line up at DH races. With 26-inch wheels, 140mm of travel up front, and 130mm out back, it handles drops, roots, and rock gardens the same way a parent's trail bike would, just scaled down to fit a rider 135cm and taller. The alloy 6061 frame uses custom-butted tubing to keep weight reasonable at 13.6 kg (29.98 lbs), and internal cable routing cleans up the cockpit so nothing snags when the bike gets thrown around.

The suspension is the key piece for younger riders. Lightweight kids often can't push a standard fork or shock into its travel, which makes a full-suspension bike ride harsh. The X-Fusion Slant RC 26 fork and X-Fusion O2Pro R Trunnion shock are both tuned specifically for kids, meaning the springs and damping are set up for lighter body weights. The result is a bike that actually soaks up hits rather than skipping over them. An 11-speed SRAM NX drivetrain (with an 11-42T cassette and a 30T chainring) gives enough range for climbs back up to the lift or the top of the trail, and Shimano BR-MT410 hydraulic disc brakes with short-reach levers and 180mm front / 160mm rear rotors let smaller hands grab plenty of stopping power without fatigue.

Kid-specific touches round out the build. A Syncros Dropper Ducan Remote post (80mm of drop) with a custom low-effort lever tune means riders can actually use the dropper in the terrain it's designed for, and a 580mm LEADTEC riser bar, 40mm stem, and Syncros Kids lock-on grips keep the controls proportional to smaller hands and shoulders. Kenda Hellkat 26x2.4 tires front and rear add grip for loose corners and steep chutes. For families with a young rider who has outgrown a hardtail and wants to keep pushing into rougher terrain, the Ransom 600 is a long-term platform rather than a quick stepping stone.
