Great intro for my son

Perfect for introducing my 14yr old son to backcountry skiing. Priced right, simple design, light weight and easy to use. Tested out on a simple skin up forest road with a couple fresh switchbacks up a ridge.

Worth the money

Incredible quality product, thoughtfully engineered and designed, worked great out of the box. For those parents who want a AT experience with their kids, this is the solution.

Toe and heel piece

Seems to work well, but heel and toe piece need to be bigger to fit larger bindings.

Perfect gear to get my kid out touring

We were impressed how light and easy the adaptor fit into my 9-year-old's alpine bindings, and after a few more times of practice, she'll be able to get in and out without assistance. Initially got them for better option to get into huts, but mellow touring on FS roads so far is going well, especially if there are some powder turns at the end. She says she won't join me yet for dawn patrol, however...

Great choice for kids

My 10 year old daughter could opperate the device with out any need for help. The Adapter is rugged and way more torsionally rigid than the BCA Treckers (that are no longer made). We toured yesterday and she had a great time and the weight of the device was not too much of a burdan. I had considered an AT set up for her but AT boots start at a flex 90 and at 60lbs a plastic sled would have offered her more control then trying to flex an adult boot.
Keep it simple and go with the Contour Touring Adapters.

I used to love September, but now it just rhymes with remember.

Ah, September! You are the doorway to the season that awakens my soul... but I must confess that I love you only because you are a prelude to my beloved October.

I give these kids contour hikin’ adapters 3 stars. One for each day in September that I’ve owned them. But if they work any better than they day wreckers my wife used 15 years ago, then I’d be fine with 4 stars. What are you gonna do? They’re not real hikin’ binders but my 8 year old doesn’t need real hikin’ binders the 3 or 4 times he’ll hike with me.

Pre-ordered and cripple creek kept me updated along the way about when the adapters would ship. Looking forward to snow!
