Dating back to 1947, the French ski company Salomon has produced some of the most innovative gear in the world. What started as a family operation out of a small workshop making ski edges has become a major player in the outdoor industry.
Salomon has taken progressive leaps over the last few decades and has even created its own ski categories. Starting with the original freestyle ski, the 1080 and now inventing the first hybrid AT binding the Shift. The sport wouldn't be where it is today without Salomon.
Now they produce everything from trail running shoes to climbing gear and even snowboards. The MTN and QST lineups make up their Alpine Touring section. Composed of skis, bindings, and boots that are designed by some of the top athletes in the world.
