The Specialized Recon ADV Shoe is a gravel cycling shoe built for riders who spend long days mixing dirt with pavement and need footwear that performs both on the pedal and off the bike. STRIDE Toe-Flex Technology lets the forefoot flex through hike-a-bikes and steep pitches, while Pontoons on the sole stabilize the shoe on the pedal platform and add comfort when walking across loose terrain. A laser-perforated upper with microfiber backing moves moisture away from the foot in warm conditions, and a TPU mudguard protects the toe box from stone strikes on fast gravel descents. SlipNot rubber tread extends further down the sole than in traditional road shoes, providing traction when the terrain forces a dismount.

Specialized Body Geometry construction integrates a Varus Wedge, Longitudinal Arch, and Metatarsal Button to align the foot, knee, and hip through the pedal stroke.
