  • Why We Like the Spark R&D Arc ST Splitboard Binding

The Spark R&D Arc ST Splitboard Binding resets the standard for all other splitboard bindings with its unbeatable balance of weight and performance. With the new Spark Arc ST binding you can charge up and down the hill with ease. The Arc ST is a minimalist strap binding designed for efficiency on the up, without compromising on the quality of the components.

The Arc ST utilizes Spark R&D's new Asym Rip 'N' Flip highback which is designed to match your natural stance and provide a greater range of motion on the up and surfy feel on the way down. The flex profile of the Arc Highbacks and pillow straps is a medium flex, excelling in trees and powder, but also providing enough confidence to step into bigger terrain.

In addition to the Asym highbacks, new for the 22/23 season is the addition of the overmolding process used on some of the binding and crampon components to increase the efficiency and durability of the bindings. Spark's ST (Smooth Touring) system uses injection molding to add their proprietary thermoplastic blend to existing aluminum and steel components that reduce friction and wear, giving you a more efficient binding that Spark claims has a 4X longer lifespan.

The Arc is built on Spark's T1 platform and utilizes a whammy bar with 2 climbing height positions, as well as a snap ramp/side lock ST touring bracket to make transitions a breeze. If you're looking for a binding that is simple, easy to transition, durable, and lightweight, look no further than the Spark R&D Arc ST Splitboard Binding!

    Durability issues

Seems like a good binding but the heel riser bar broke the 2nd time out. I don’t really trust the build of those so will be keeping spares with me on my tours
