A high-capacity expedition and alpine pack for climbers who carry full big-wall or high-altitude loads on technical mountain routes, the Black Diamond Mission 75 Backpack builds its body from 420D X-rip nylon with UTS coating for a shell that resists crampon snags, ice tool contact, and repeated rope drag without wearing through at vulnerable panels. The S/M configuration holds 75 liters at 4lb 1oz while the M/L version expands to 77 liters at 4lb 4oz, both using a custom metal dogbone ice tool attachment with micro PickPockets and removable 20mm crampon straps. The strippable frame sheet and removable hip belt allow summit-push configuration for loads that benefit from a different carry geometry than the fully loaded approach. The Mission 75 is built for 60-plus-pound loads on routes where pack durability and organizational versatility matter as much as volume.
