The new Backland XTD Carbon 120 Touring Boot combines the amazing walkability and comfort of the Backland in a stiffer! The Free/Lock 4.5 ski/walk mechanism with Frictionless Pivot offers the 74 degrees of motion ski tourers have come to know and love from the Backland. Thanks to the durable Prolite construction and Carbon-loaded shell and cuff, the Backland XTD Carbon boasts a stiff 120 flex at only 1419 grams (26.5) for a boot you can trust on the skin track and the steeps.
Another upgrade of the Backland XTD Carbon is a thicker touring liner with a higher cuff for enhanced downhill performance. The Backland XTD Carbon has a 100 mm last, but it can often accommodate wider feet thanks to its heat-moldable shell and 3D Platinum Tour liner. The Cross Lace 2.5 closure laces the cable through the buckle to envelop the foot for a more precise, comfortable fit.
