Cripple Creek to open TWO New Locations in Avon and Aspen Highlands!

Cripple Creek to open TWO New Locations in Avon and Aspen Highlands!

Cripple Creek to open at the base of Beaver Creek and Aspen Highlands!

We have been working hard and we are incredibly excited to announce our new store fronts at the bases of Beaver Creek and Aspen Highlands. These locations offer great access to safe uphill routes for new ski tourers to try the sport. Cripple Creek Avon has been a project of ours for months and we are excited to offer fully staffed hours by Friday November 29th. However, we will be in the store working furiously to get it open every day until then so stop by to see the new gear or make an appointment here

With the temporary closing of our Vail shop, Avon will be the closest location for Denver and front range customers, so visit us at the old Haute Route space, 82 E Beaver Creek Blvd, Avon

We are excited to be located at one of North America's best training grounds!

We are also excited to announce our new partnership with Aspen Expeditions. We equip more skiers every year with backcountry aspirations and we wanted to create a safe experience for getting them involved. At both the Highlands and Avon locations, we will be able to book our guests directly with a certified guide to keep skiers traveling safely when outside the ski resort. Whether it is a day of backcountry skiing, an intro course to up-hilling or a ski trip around the world, we've got you covered.

Although we are growing fast to take on the growing demand for ski touring equipment, knowledge and education, Cripple Creek Backcountry is run by a small and dedicated staff that moves fluidly between all 4 locations. Our crew works hard to stay in front of the ever changing ski touring and splitboarding scene!

If it was up to us we would have never left, but the building was coming down around us. We were very close to working out a new space in Lionshead, but construction delays would have meant we never got it open for the upcoming season. We even offered to buy out the lease on some t-shirt shops but apparently vail needs even more t-shirt shops and nobody was willing to budge. Come see us in Avon and keep the dream alive.

BC shops in Vail never seem to stick around, but yours was by far the BEST shop to open. Is the “temporary” closure really meant to be temporary?
