The Atomic Backland series received an overhaul for the 2019/20 season, and the boots are no exception. Designed to be easier on the uphill, more fun to ski on the downhill, and simplistic in design, the Backland Pro is a ski tourers dream.

Friction-less pivot and more than 70 degrees of range of motion mean your ski boots feel like slippers and the vertical feet melts away during a big climb. Prolite construction keeps the boot lightweight without compromising power on the down hill. The 3D Memory Foam liner is fully heat moldable and its heel and ankle pockets secure your feet to maximize power transmission. A taller cuff increases leverage in the boot which means more control over your turns. Atomic replaced the old buckle with a BOA system which not only provides a better more even fit, but is easy to manipulate with a gloved hand. Finally, the Free/Lock 4.0 system makes transitions easier as you can switch from walk to ski mode with the pull of a lever.
