Description
Intermediate to advanced skiers looking for a touring boot that is well balanced in uphill and downhill performance should give the new GEA serious consideration. The latest updates double downs on the prior generation's successes as a great do-it-all boot. At 102mm last, they fit many foot shapes. And having ISO 9523 soles makes them compatible with many types of bindings, so the GEAs can be used for touring and resort adventures!
Tech Specs
The Scarpa Gea has been a household name in the world of balanced touring boots for years. They are not overburdened in weight, have a good range of motion, and come standard with super comfy, highly customizable Intuition liners. All of this makes them very capable on the skin track while still delivering excellent downhill performance in a 100 flex that fits a wide range of skiers' needs.
The newest generation of the Scarpa Gea includes major upgrades throughout the boot, starting with a more progressive flexing shell, which is achieved with the use of planet-friendly PeBax Rnew materials. The closure system has also been updated to be more adjustable and increases the closing force. The combination of a better fit and more progressive flex makes the newest Gea the best downhill performer yet. And with 61° range of motion and the heat-moldable Intuition Pro Flex Tour liners and you have an exceptionally balanced boot that walks as comfortably as it can ski.
