With its ample 45L of storage space, powerful Alpride E2 supercapacitor system, and fully loaded features, the Flat E2 45L Avalanche Airbag pack is made for pros, patrollers, guides, and overnight tours.
BCA's Float E2 avalanche airbag packs feature the Alpride E2 supercapacitor system for compressor power. Supercapacitors use electromechanical properties instead of chemical reactions of battery operated systems, resulting in improved reliability in cold climates and rapid deployment energy release. The E2 is 40% smaller and 25% lighter than the E1, with a 162-liter airbag that deploys rapidly to decrease your burial depth and protect your head and neck in the event of an avalanche.
The Float E2-45 also has Side Stash and Back Stash pockets for quick access to hydration, extra layers, and skins. It sports a waterproof-coated nylon, an expandable roll top, curved side access zip, quick cinch closure, removable straps, hip belt pocket, "cooling fin" backpanel, and special safety tools/snowsaw pocket. Plus, it's TSA-approved for air travel.
