    Tech Specs

Coming in the sleek titan design for 2023, the Salomon MTN Pure Alpine Touring Binding is made almost purely of an aluminum construction which explains its uncompromising durability. With a guided step-in for easy click in, you can minimize the awkward fumbling when you hit the skin track. A leash can be attached to the front unit if not using a brake, while the brake can also be mounted with your binding and easily removed if no longer needed. Five different width options give you a range depending on your quiver of skis, accommodating up to a 120mm ski for the powder hounds.

The rotating heel unit allows you to have three different heel riser levels for varying pitches of the skin track, though you can also keep it stupidly simple by just covering the pins with one of your risers and make your transitions that much slicker. For the ascent, the toe unit also has varying levels of uphill retention to keep your boot from sliding out when side hilling icy slopes. The wide screw implementation on the front unit maximizes the power transmission from boot to ski as you aggressively carve and slay your lines.

Crampon compatibility makes this binding a strong choice for your mountaineering ski set up. And with the 30mm adjustment, you can change between your lightweight touring boots to your all-mountain boots and still crush the slope on your favorite skis. Three different release values accommodate a range of skiers and styles while keeping it simple to understand and change when needed. Its no wonder so many of us sport this binding on our own setups!
