The Dynafit Free Infinium Insulation M Jacket is an all-weather, all-mountain layer designed to keep you warm and comfortable regardless of the conditions you might encounter. Built around GORE-TEX INFINIUM™ technology and PrimaLoft® insulation, this jacket offers an amazing balance of breathability and warmth. It's the perfect outer layer for most backcountry missions, and its high level of versatility will help to keep your pack light while still ensuring you can handle the whole breadth of winter conditions.
We all know the struggle of starting a tour on a cold winter morning only to be completely soaked in sweet 10 minutes later. The Free Infinium jackets help solve this issue. Dynafit made a jacket that is as breathable as an insulated jacket can get. This is thanks to the PrimaLoft active insulation, which uses fibers with natural variations in length and density. When you move, these fibers rub together to vent moisture and heat, but once you stop the fibers lay back down which increases the overall insulation of the jacket. The outer shell uses GORE-TEX INFINIUM™, which unlike many GORE-TEX products is not fully waterproof. Rather, Dynafit has recognized that on cold days in the mountains most of the precipitation you will encounter is frozen, so the priority needs to be venting moisture. If it's puking snow, you'll still want a true hardshell, but for 90% of the conditions you'll find on a backcountry tour the Dynafit Free Infinium Insulation M Jacket is the ideal warm layer.
