Tech Specs
Dynafit W TLT X Alpine Touring Boot
The Dynafit W TLT X Alpine Touring Boot is built for women who want a 1-kilogram-class boot for big vertical without a narrow race fit. A 101mm last accommodates medium to medium-wide feet with a higher instep, and a Grilamid nylon shell with a Twistfit instep dial wraps the foot evenly behind a soft, progressive flex. At 930 g per boot in a 24.5, with 60 degrees of cuff rotation and the Ultra Lock 5.0 single-throw lever, the Dynafit W TLT X suits big vertical days, ski mountaineering and resort fitness laps.

CCBB Fit Profile
Why We Like It
- At 930 g per boot (size 24.5), the W TLT X tours with the lightest boots in its class. We measured a size 25.5 at 980 g without the power strap, still a 1-kilogram-class weight.
- The 60 degrees of cuff rotation and a de-plasticized tongue give a long, near friction-free stride for skinning and bootpacking.
- The Ultra Lock 5.0 system tensions the cuff buckle and switches from walk to ski with one throw, one of the simplest transitions we fit.
- MasterStep tech inserts step into pin bindings reliably, and the toe and heel welts accept most automatic crampons.
Best Uses
- Long, high-vertical tour days and ski mountaineering
- Fast-and-light spring missions and traverses
- Resort uphill and fitness laps
- Touring skis 85 to 100mm underfoot
- Women with medium to medium-wide, medium-to-high-volume feet
Bootfitter's Advice
The W TLT X fits on the wide side of medium for the lightweight touring category on its 101mm last, with a roomy, boxy toe box and a taller instep than the old Euro-fit TLT 5. The thin 5 mm liner keeps overall volume moderate and has little to pack out, and the heel pocket is medium rather than locking, so we steer narrow feet and slim ankles that tend to lift elsewhere. Skiers who found older TLT boots too snub-nosed usually feel more at home in the W TLT X.
The Grilamid shell heat molds and takes a modest punch for a bunion or sixth toe, but there is little length to gain, so size for length from the start. The stock Dynafitter 5 W liner is thin and prioritizes weight, so skiers with cold feet on long, low-output days often move to a warmer aftermarket liner. The women's shell uses a cuff scallop and shorter cuff than the men's TLT X but is otherwise the same shell.

Compare the Dynafit W TLT X
W TLT X vs. Scarpa F1 LT
Both are 1-kilogram-class touring boots that walk exceptionally well. We find the W TLT X gives more forward lean and a more progressive Twistfit closure, which many skiers prefer over the F1 LT BOA forefoot, while the Scarpa F1 LT runs a touch lower in volume and slightly lighter for pure speed missions.
Shop Scarpa F1 LT bootsW TLT X vs. Tecnica Zero G Peak
The Tecnica Zero G Peak uses a carbon co-injected shell for a stiffer, more progressive downhill flex, while the W TLT X carries no numeric flex and skis softer. The W TLT X fits wider through the forefoot with a boxier toe, so skiers who need more forefoot width than the Zero G Peak offers often fit the W TLT X more comfortably.
Shop Tecnica Zero G Peak bootsW TLT X vs. Dynafit Blacklight
The Dynafit Blacklight is the stiffer, carbon-cuff sibling and runs slightly lighter, aimed at skiers who want more downhill support. The W TLT X uses a fiberglass-infused Grilamid cuff that is softer and damper, more forgiving for a wider range of skiers on the same 101mm platform.
