Mammut Barryvox S2 Avalanche Beacon

The new Barryvox S2 avalanche transceiver by Mammut takes the original Barryvox S to a new level. We can thank the R&D department for designing the new Barryvox S2 to take up less room in our packs and pockets, coming in 6mm thinner and 25g lighter than the previous model. Some of the new features include an MIPS (Memory in Pixel) screen that provides clear contrast even in the harshest lighting. A pro search mode that uses tones and digital distance readings to help guide you to the burial as quickly as possible. Deep Burial Mode kicks in when deep burial is detected; this starts up a granular search of the area. 

The Barryvox S2 also comes with all the great carry-over technology from the original Barryvox S. The beloved Rescue-SEND feature, which allows the beacon to switch back into transmit if you are caught in a second slide while in search mode. The Barryvox 2 has an auto-select feature that locks in on the strongest signal closest to you and blocks out other signals for interference.   Its 70m search and transmit range leads the industry. Multiple burial functions come standard on all Barryvox models. The auto revert-to-send feature switches the beacon back to send if it sits idle in search mode for over 4 minutes. You can also log into the Mammut app to self-test the beacon and get live diagnostics from your smartphone.
