The Julbo Vermont's are traditional mountaineering sunglasses designed to block light in highly reflective environments found on glaciers and in high alpine environments. The debut of the Vermont was in celebration of Julbo's 125th anniversary (founded in 1888). The French-based brand brought back their signature design with old school round lenses and leather side shields. But worry not, they have modern Julbo lenses to properly protect your eyes from the sun.
The lens options are:
- Polarized 3: CAT 3 lenses have a VLT (visible light transmission) = 12%. Polarized lenses reduce glare in highly reflective environments like on snow
- Spectron 3CF: CAT 3 lenses with VLT = 12%. CF (Color Flash) is a color mirror flash to improve visible contrast.
- Spectron 4: CAT 4 lenses with VLT = 5 %. These are darker lenses for higher intensity sun protection
