Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD W 105 BOA Alpine Touring Boot
The Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD W 105 BOA is a women's freeride touring boot for skiers with narrow feet who split days between the resort and the skin track. A 98 mm last with a BOA dial on the lower shell wraps a low-volume foot evenly, and a 105 flex from a Prolite polyurethane shell gives real control on firm snow. At 1,656 g per boot in a 24.5, with 54 degrees of cuff rotation from the Free/Lock 4.5 lever, the Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD W 105 BOA suits sidecountry laps and day tours.

Why We Like It
- The BOA Fit System, a dial and steel cable on the lower shell, tightens the forefoot evenly in fine steps instead of at one buckle point.
- Memory Fit, Atomic's heat-molding process for the shell, cuff, and Mimic Gold liner, lets a narrow foot get a custom shape in one session.
- The 105 flex from a Prolite polyurethane shell, thinned where it can be and reinforced where it drives the ski, holds an edge on firm snow without a resort-boot weight.
- The Skywalk GripWalk sole carries tech inserts, so the Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD W 105 BOA works in GripWalk and MNC alpine bindings and pin/tech touring bindings.
Best Uses
- Resort days with sidecountry laps
- Day tours and uphill resort routes
- Women with narrow, low-volume feet
- All-mountain and freeride skis
Bootfitter's Advice
The Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD W 105 BOA fits narrow on a 98 mm last, measured at a 26.5 shell, and smaller shells scale narrower still. Skiers with a narrow forefoot, a low instep, and a slim heel lock in well, and we find the heel pocket one of the tightest in women's touring boots; a wide forefoot or high instep will need shell work or a roomier boot. A women's-specific cuff sits 15 mm lower for smaller calves.
Memory Fit heats the shell, cuff, and liner together, and we can punch polyurethane readily for a sixth toe or navicular. The BOA dial spreads pressure across the forefoot, which helps feet that a conventional lower buckle irritates. The inside ankle bones are the usual pressure point, and a Memory Fit mold is our first step there.
