Tech Specs
Plum Oazo II Touring Binding
The Plum Oazo II Touring Binding is a light, machined-aluminum pin binding for ski tourers who log long days and want more release control than a race binding without carrying much more weight. Lateral release adjusts from 4 to 10, and vertical release is fixed at 4, 6 or 8 depending on the version, so a skier picks the spring that matches their weight and skiing. At 200 g per binding with 25 mm of boot length adjustment, climbing heights of 40 and 54 mm reachable from ski mode and an optional brake, the Oazo II suits long tours, ski mountaineering and spring missions.

Why We Like It
- Vertical release comes in three fixed versions, 4, 6 or 8, so the spring can match the skier instead of one value fitting everyone.
- A roller on the toe plate makes the toe lever easier to lock and unlock and reduces wear on the locking surfaces over seasons of use.
- Both climbing heights, 40 and 54 mm, flip up from the ski position, so steep transitions do not require turning the heel to a separate mode.
- At 212 g per binding with 25 mm of length adjustment, the Oazo II stays light while still fitting more than one pair of boots.
Best Uses
- Long ski tours
- Ski mountaineering
- Spring and corn missions
- Lightweight touring skis up to 110 mm underfoot
- Skiers moving up from race bindings
Mounting and Setup Advice
Choose the version by vertical release: 4, 6 or 8. A shop should check which value suits your weight, height, age, boot sole length and skier type before you order, then set lateral release from 4 to 10 after mounting. The vertical value cannot be changed later without swapping the spring.
The brake is optional and attaches with a single fastener in 80, 90, 100 or 110 mm; without it, ski with a leash. The heel gives 25 mm of length adjustment, and the binding needs boots with certified tech inserts at the toe and heel.
