Introducing the G3 Minimist Speed alpine touring climbing skin. With some of the most durable and easy to use tip and tail attachments, G3 has been making some of our favorite climbing skins for many years now. G3 recently spent lots of money and time to come up with a much improved glue for all of their climbing skins. The Minimist Speed uses a lightweight carbon insert in the tip to reduce "snow creep" under the skin. Uphill aficionados will be pleased to discover their lightest, fastest and most packable mohair skin to date in the Minimist Speed skin.

Fast skins, good grip

The G3 Minimist Speed climbing skins have been working really well for me, and I find they provide really nice glide with enough grip strength to get me up firm ridgelines in the Spring. The 100% mohair fibers really allow me to stride out on the flats and cover ground a bit quicker. One big perk of the G3 skins is that the tail connect is bomber, and I don't foresee it ever being an issue breaking, whereas with my last pair of Pomoca skins the plastic tail clips broke twice! Definitely recommend these skins if you want lightweight, packable skins that allow you to move quicker in the backcountry.
