Stayed on through the Cheetah Crit Skin Track in Vail with no snow. If anyone's has ever followed that course it's an absolute mess at the bottom and notorious for blowing up skins.
Will see how they last, but I'm very pleased so far.
Based in Switzerland, all that Pomoca does is build skins. Got to love them for that because they build the standard in skins for fitness, touring, and racing. The reason is that they have the best combination of hair content (70/30 Mohair/Nylon) for glide and climb, the best glue (not too sticky, not too hard), and reasonably reliable tips and tails (both of which can be replaced on your own if your competent or at your local shop for a nominal fee. These skins are also durable when run over sticks, rocks, grass and dirt season after season. These pinkies are the standard in race skins because of the general Pomoca quality, but also because no other brand has figured out a tip as good as this one. Buy two pair; one for training, one for racing and bring both for longer races.
Cripple Creek is an awesome company that provides personal and knowledgeable service and advice. I bought race setups for me and my girlfriend from Cripple Creek. Doug took the time to work with me and make sure that what I was getting was going to be perfect for us in our conditions. Being from the northeast it was cool to know that they have east coast snow conditions experience also. These skins glide and climb great on varied conditions and for the price they’re an awesome deal.
Excellent glide. I was originally using a self cut pair of Black Diamond 100% mohair skins. The Pomoca have much better glide.
The glue is also excellent for a quick pull during transitions.
