Description
The Blizzard Zero G LT 80 Alpine Touring Ski is a light ski mountaineering beast designed to get you up and down the mountain, no matter how massive the climb or burly the descent. At a wicked-light 980 grams (171 cm), Blizzard has managed to pack stability and downhill performance into every gram of this ski, and the result is a tool that punches well above its weight.
Tech Specs
The Blizzard Zero G LT 80 Alpine Touring Ski is Blizzard's lightest touring ski and is well suited for massive backcountry missions and the steepest and most exposed lines. Every aspect of the Zero G LT 80 was designed with big objectives in mind and that means a ski that is incredibly light but also stable enough to get you down safely. At the heart of the LT 80 is the TrueBlend Tour Woodcore. The core uses primarily Paulownia but has Poplar reinforcement throughout. The Poplar is concentrated underfoot and through the tail, which adds stiffness and stability where you need it most. A unidirectional carbon fiber chassis reinforces the wood core and adds additional rigidity. Critically, the flex of this ski remains stiff underfoot and softer through the tips and tails. This gives the necessary performance for demanding lines while still keeping the ski forgiving and easy to ski– a critical trait for big exposure and no fall zones. Without compromising the downhill performance Blizzard has managed to create a 980 gram (171 cm) ski that punches far above its weight. For the demanding ski mountaineer or speed tourer looking for a ski for massive lines and huge days, consider the Zero G LT 80.
