Our Backcountry Only Ski Swap is Back
It's our biggest event of the year — our 14th annual backcountry only ski swap in Carbondale, Silverthorne, Edwards, Denver, and Seattle. Don't miss your chance to upgrade your setup or to get a friend involved in this amazing community.

Buying used gear is a great way to get into the sport of ski touring, but it is tough to know what to buy. Unlike shopping on the online swaps, at Cripple Creek Bike & Backcountry you get a curated collection of current gear, carefully looked over to make sure the gear is safe. We also offer a fully guided shopping experience to work with a ski touring or split-boarding expert to make sure used and closeout gear is right for you. If you're looking to buy a setup:

If you plan on selling gear, please come by the store with your gear before the swap! We will FILL OUT THIS FORM with you to get everything priced and accounted for.
Gear can be dropped off up to 1 week before each store's swap date.
This is an incredible time to upgrade your setup! We give you 110% of the money your gear sells via store credit. For example, sell a pair of skis for $500 and you'll get $550 in store credit to be used on new gear. The 110% must be used for new and current gear at CCBB before January 1, 2026 (no other discounts will be applied). At that time, if you have not used the 110% store credit, you will be automatically issued 70% store credit.
Please note, we do not accept:
- Alpine gear (both boots and skis)
- Frame bindings of any kind
- 75mm tele gear (some exceptions may apply)
- Accessories (helmets, gloves, backpacks, etc) and clothing
- Individual skins not paired with a ski
- Avalanche Safety Equipment (we are unable to resell any life-saving items in our swaps)
With that said, this event has only succeeded in years past because of the engagement of the community. The more people at the swap, the better chance everyone has of getting in the right gear at an incredible price.

We will have boot fitting stations spread out across the store with dedicated staff ready to work with you as well as folks ready to answer your burning gear questions. Novice or expert or somewhere in between, there's something for everyone!
Living in the mountains is a constant cycle. The cycle of the seasons and the cycle of cleaning out the gear closet just to fill it up again. Get stoked for the ski season with gear, beer, and coffee because winter is coming!
