Boot Fitters Advice
Description

The Atomic Backland Ultimate Alpine touring boot is purpose-built for maximum weight savings and precise ski performance. Frictionless pivots and 80 degrees of cuff articulation will have you shaving seconds off of your personal bests on every climb.

Tech Specs
Features

  • Three dimensional, washable, breathable, Platinum Tour liner for amazing fit and moisture management.
  • 80 degrees of cuff articulation in walk mode for efficient and natural uphill travel.
  • Carbon-loaded Grilamid shell and full-carbon cuff for an exceptional combination of light weight and performance.
  • Low volume 98mm last for complete control and precise steering.
  • The Atomic Backland Ultimate Alpine Touring boot represents the pinnacle of Atomic's ultralight boot offerings. Skimo racers, cardio junkies, and other gram-counters will love the feather-light weight and responsive handling, both uphill and down.

Tipping the scales at well under 800g (26.5), the backland ultimate is a featherweight touring boot. 80 degrees of frictionless cuff articulation combined with carbon shell material and an ultra-light 3D Platinum speed liner mean you'll hardly notice these boots on your feet. A snug and precise 98mm last keeps the foot properly supported, and transmits energy from skier to ski with extreme efficiency. The liners are breathable and constructed of Dry Fit foam for effective moisture and perspiration management. The liners are also fully washable, so you can rinse away that mid-season funk. A flex rating of 80 gives the boot ample power for confident descents while remaining forgiving and comfortable during extended periods of uphill travel. For skiers seeking the absolute lightest, fastest, most efficient boot, the Backland Ultimate is an excellent option.

LOVE THIS RACE BOOT- Employee Review

I raced and trained in this boot all last season. Put in a lot of time over multiple races including The Heathen Challenge, Gothic Mountain Tour, Power of 4, Grand Traverse. The boot is durable, comfortable, and most important- LIGHT. If you have some weird foot things like myself (get cold feet easily)- remember that the shell is cookable. We can do a lot of work to make this boot fit like a glove at any of our shops!
