Why We Like It
- 295 g per binding including the brake keeps a fully featured setup close to ski mountaineering weight.
- The toe release adjusts along with the heel, so the front of the binding retains the boot in proportion to your setting.
- Magnetic heel flaps hold each walking position firmly and flip with a pole tip, which saves bending over on steep skin tracks.
- A removable crampon slot lets you carry crampon capability only on the tours that need it.
Best Uses
- Long ski tours
- Ski mountaineering
- Lightweight touring skis 80 to 97 mm underfoot
- Skiers from 30 to 95 kg
- Fitness and uphill laps
Mounting and Setup Advice
Choose the brake equal to or up to 15 mm wider than the ski waist: 86, 91, 97 or 102 mm. ATK pairs the RT 11 Evo with skis from 80 to 97 mm underfoot and 1,000 to 1,600 g per ski. A shop should set toe and heel release for your weight, height, age, boot sole length and skier type and test it after mounting.
The heel gives 20 mm of length adjustment for a second pair of boots. The binding needs boots with certified tech inserts; bring them in and we will check them and set the release.
