Why We Like the Pierre Gignoux U77 Stopper Race Binding
The Pierre Gignoux U77 Stopper Race Binding is the world's lightest low-tech race binding coming in at 77 grams before the ski brake. With the ski brake, the Pierre Gignoux U77 Stopper Race Binding comes in at 110 grams with the brake. This is perfect for high-level competition like the Grand Traverse or PDG races. It meets all new ISMF requirements surrounding ski brakes.
The new technology, Quick Step-In, developed by Gignoux allows users to step in at a lightning-fast speed that almost guarantees you gain time during your transitions. The toe unit is designed with u spring titanium bar that makes this binding extremely reliable and lightweight. The heel piece will also rotate to allow a boot to come out of the binding in case of a fall or crash. The titanium U Spring in the heel unit is relative to a #6 release setting. The toe can either be locked out for uphill mode or open for ski mode.
