The new DPS Kaizen 105 alpine touring ski is among the first to drop the RP and C2 designations that characterized previous DPS ski lineups. Instead, the new skis take on the "directional" or "rocker" designation. The Kaizen 105 is designated as "directional", meaning it's designed for a skier looking for a powerful, stable, and fast ski to be driven into GS turns.
The ~40% rocker and ~60% effective edge found on the DPS Kaizen 105 create an engaged feel between the ski and snow at the tips and tails, while providing plenty of stability in any snow conditions. Its textured polyamide top is chip resistant, and the full carbon laminate and new split core construction provide even more stability and energy than in the past. Plus, with DPS' binding reinforcement, the risk of ripping out a binding, even those of the telemark variety, is heavily reduced.
The Kaizen 105 features a completely new shape, taking inspiration from both the RP and C2 designs to create what DPS considers a true all-mountain freeride ski. Whether you're looking to focus on GS turns or ski in style on or off piste, the Kaizen 105 is for you.
