The nylon fibers provide extra traction when the skin track gets steep or icy and improve durability over 100% Mohair skins. Nomad skins are PFC-free and are coated with the new Bluesign-approved EVER DRY 3.0 Anti-glopping treatment to improve performance in wet snow.

    First Tracks Tested

    I got out for my first ride in early powder on no base from the 12/16-12/17/2022 storm in New England recently. Skins performed well. Had longer G3 mohair skins before this, and was nervous I might be sacrificing traction with these finer, shorter Pomoca hairs. No such problems. The Jones Nomad skins fit the Weston Hatchet 2022 perfectly, with only a tiny bit of cutting required.

    Also, I just want to make a plug for Cripple Creek's excellent customer service. I unknowingly ordered skins that wouldn't fit this board (the Weston No. 7 skins specifically fit the notches in the 2023 version of the Weston Hatchet, and not the 2022). A Cripple Creek rep caught the problem on the same day my online purchase went through, they emailed me, and proactively produced a perfect alternative. When they realized they hadn't sent me the cutting tool for the skins, they overnighted it, and it arrived before the board and skins did!
