Description
The V8 from Voile combines a hybrid rocker, and 2cm of taper, on a stiff poplar layup that allows skiers to drive skis in powder, yet be nimble from edge to edge. These skis will keep stability at speed while still letting you hold an edge, whether traversing to a new line or driving through a turn.
Tech Specs
Year after year, we love the Voile V8 for its fat waist width, stiffer camber profile, and Hybrid rocker tip and tail. The V8 construction makes for a smooth float that won't feel like you're bouncing in the deeper snow. Depending on size, these skis average a waist width of 113mm, keeping Sasquatch happy on the deepest days.
Lucky for us, Voile constructs these surf machines with a poplar wood core and single carbon weave layer, and triaxial fiberglass to give a wide ski torsional stability when you need to find and hold an edge. We like that the Voile V8 can handle speed in the powder, but also has a shorter-than-normal turn radius for a floaty pow ski. These highly decorated skis have won awards from Freeskier, Wildsnow, and many more. You won't be disappointed taking these to the mountains on your, cough-cough, "sick days".
