Why We Like the Weston Ridgeline Splitboard

The Weston Ridgeline splitboard unlocks the ability of riders to tour any mountain cirque. Riders who want a deck that can tour up anything and rides any snow on any aspect should choose the Ridgeline. Built with 20mm of setback for the downhill and shifted touring brackets for the uphill, this ride goes everywhere. If you get to bring one board for unknown conditions, this is the board you take.

An all-mountain freeride board makes you giggle in powder, turn quickly on the steeps, and feel confident sticking must-land airs. The Weston Ridgeline has proven that whether the name changes or not, this is a shape that riders crave. Due to popular demand from shredders around the globe, the Ridgeline is back this year with more size options than ever before.

The Ridgeline is an all-mountain freeride hybrid splitboard that loves open bowls, couloirs, cliffs, pillow lines, and powder days. One of our favorite boards. It rides easier than a Jones Solution and is wider than all the brands that make the same shape. These specs make the Ridgeline splitboard floats better than the other brands.

    My ride or die

Ive been riding this board through all of its variations. From the Big Chief, 10th Mountain Division and now the Ridgeline. Weston keeps slaying it with this board. This thing rides like a laser. It is my go to for steep variable terrain here on the east coast. I have ridden it all over Mt Washington and the surrounding ravines in the Presidentials and it has not failed me yet. The camber profile gives me assurance and confidence in no fall scenarios yet it is still playful enough for me to have fun on the ride out. If I have my eyes on a steep line this is the board I take hands down. With all that being said of its performance in variable terrain this thing rips in powder as well.

    My go to board!

I absolutely love this board! As a full time mountain guide and active snow enthusiast this is the go to board for me. When I plan trips, I don't always know how the conditions will pan out, but with this board I know I can handle them all. I ride a 155 and I am a 5' 8" woman that weighs about 160lbs.

    East coast charger

I wanted a split to for Ice Coast steeps and the Ridgeline is all that and more. The Ridgeline holds an edge on the firmest ‘snow’ without chattering. You can rely on the camber under feet to make that next turn no matter what the conditions are. But that’s not all the Ridgeline excels at! It provides great float in powder and with a larger nose that plows through pow and chunder it’s hard to find a better all around board. Weston’s amazing bombproof base along with a top sheet that nothing can stick too makes it the ultimate shred machine!

    Love this board

Huge fan of this board! Tours like a champ on the uphill and charges anything you can throw at it on the down. Steeps, trees, pow filled meadows. Love how it just wants to go! Point it downhill and all I have to do is react. It’s almost like it knows what I’m thinking. Went with the 162W for some extra float and it delivered.

    Go To Board

As a full time mountain guide I spend a lot of time on a lot of different gear and this is my go to board. After a huge season here in Tahoe I kept finding myself reaching for this board time and time again. Especially once the snow stabilized and it was time to push the steeps. Whether the snow was mega deep or mind meltingly steep this board felt stable. I could open her up and give it everything I got and she just wanted more. The board has a great pivot point for tight turns in the trees. On big faces the edge locks in for huge arcing turns at high speeds. This board is a little on the heavier side but the set back touring brackets make such a difference that I don't mind the extra weight. Once you add the down hill performance it's a no brainer why it's my daily driver and big terrain slayer.

    Bodacious Shred Stick

The first day I dropped into steep pow, I was stoked by the technical responsiveness and ability to float while spraying hard. From spring steeps to mellow pow, the Ridgeline can do it all. On the uphill, it climbs really well with a well balanced swing weight load favoring the tail for these kick turns. Like all Weston boards, the Ridgeline is very durable so you’ll be maximizing your investment in stoke.

    Sweet Split!

I love my 158 Weston Ridgeline Splitboard. It’s a bit stiffer which is nice in highspeed chunder, steep variable snow etc. It’s also got a bit more tail behind the back foot that helps in stomping drops. Its shape is more versatile than a powder hound but any board should feel good on a good powder day! Plus, it’s tough. I’ve put it through the wringer on spring mountaineering missions and it’s holding up better than me.

    Hard Charging Weapon

Have been testing out the Ridgeline the last few days in Cooke City and it’s a beast! Really likes to go fast. Stable at high speeds through the steep and deep. Great on the skin track. Exactly what I was looking for to add to my quiver.
