Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD 115 BOA W GW Touring Boot
The Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD 115 BOA W GW Touring Boot is built for advanced women who ski inbounds most days and tour on the rest. A 98mm last locks down a low-volume foot, and the 115 flex from a full True Flex polyurethane shell, the same damp plastic used in alpine boots, drives freeride skis 95 to 110mm underfoot. At 1,590 g per boot (size 26.5), with 54 degrees of cuff rotation and a BOA dial that wraps the forefoot evenly, the Hawx Ultra XTD 115 BOA W GW is a resort-first boot with genuine touring range.

Why We Like It
- The full True Flex polyurethane shell and cuff give the Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD 115 BOA W GW a damp, progressive 115 flex, the stiffest in the women's Ultra XTD line, that skis close to a resort boot.
- The BOA Fit System on the lower shell wraps the forefoot evenly, removing the pressure points that two lower buckles can create and letting skiers fine-tune the fit on the fly.
- The Free/Lock 4.5 walk mechanism with the Frictionless Pivot delivers 54 degrees of cuff rotation, a usable stride for a boot built primarily to ski hard.
- The full-rubber GripWalk sole and tech fittings give a wide binding range, from pin-tech touring bindings to GripWalk and MNC alpine bindings.
Best Uses
- 50/50 resort and backcountry days on one boot
- Freeride touring on skis 95 to 110mm underfoot
- Lift-served slackcountry and short skin-track laps
- Aggressive downhill skiing where flex and damping matter
- Women with low-volume, narrow feet and ankles
Bootfitter's Advice
The Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD 115 BOA W GW fits as a genuinely low-volume boot on a 98mm last: narrow through the forefoot, low over the instep, and with one of the tightest heel pockets we fit in a women's touring boot. The toes sit close without crowding, and the ankle pocket wraps snugly. After fitting hundreds of women tourers we find it suits narrow, low-volume feet and slim heels best. Wide forefeet and high insteps will want fit work before this boot feels comfortable.
The Memory Fit shell, a heat-moldable construction, and Mimic liner both accept heat molding, and the polyurethane shell punches and stretches more readily than a thin Grilamid nylon touring shell, so we can open room at the sixth-toe, navicular, and instep. The BOA dial spreads closure pressure across the forefoot, which helps skiers who get pinch points from conventional lower buckles, and together with a shell mold it lets some wider forefeet in without a punch. The inside ankle bones are the usual hot spot, and a Memory Fit shell mold is our first move there. Plan on a shell fit rather than converting from street-shoe size, since length runs close to true Mondo.

Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD 115 BOA W GW vs. Atomic Backland XTD Carbon 115 W
The Backland XTD Carbon 115 W is a lighter, better-walking dedicated touring boot that weighs 290 g less per boot and walks with a longer 74-degree stride, while the Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD 115 BOA W GW skis with much more damping and power thanks to its full polyurethane shell. Choose the Hawx to ski hard inbounds and out, the Backland XTD W for dedicated touring.
