A Class 3 commuter e-bike for riders who want serious range and a tracker built in, the Aventon Level 4 REC E-bike from Aventon runs a 750W rear hub motor with 1188W peak output, 96 Nm of torque, and a boost mode that climbs to 1440W on demand. The 36V 20Ah 733Wh removable battery uses LG 21700 cells, claims up to 75 miles per charge, and the regenerative braking system adds roughly 10 miles of recovered range while sending charge back to the pack on descents.
The 6061 aluminum frame comes in both high-step and step-thru styles with two size options each, fitting riders from 4'11" to 6'4". An 80mm coil-spring front fork with preload adjustment and lockout handles bumps, Tektro HD-E3520 two-piston hydraulic brakes with e-cutoff and 180mm rotors front and rear handle the stops, and Kenda Kwick Seven-5 Sport 27.5x2.2 tires roll on 27.5-inch wheels. Total weight lands around 71 lbs with a 300 lb payload capacity, and the connected tools (4G/GPS tracking, remote alerts, e-lock, activity detection) plus the new customizable display UI position the Level 4 REC as Aventon's recreation-focused commuter, sitting alongside the Level 4 ADV mid-drive in the refreshed Level 4 lineup.
