Dual half and twin certification means the rope can be used as a doubled half on wandering ice routes or clipped together as a twin on direct lines, and the dry-treated core and sheath shed water from the inside out so the rope handles wet ice and snowy belays without bloating. A 1X1 weave sheath construction holds up against repeated lower-offs and rope drag through cold ice screws. The middle marker is identifiable by feel for blind rappels off lean-back stances.
