Black Diamond Z4 Offset Camalot

A spring-loaded offset cam built for trad climbers working routes with pin-scarred cracks, shallow flares, or parallel crack irregularities where standard cam geometry won't seat reliably, the Camalot Z4 Offset from Black Diamond uses asymmetric offset lobes that achieve full contact in features that stop a symmetrical four-cam design from reaching the crack wall on both sides simultaneously. The RigidFlex stem stabilizes the unit in shallow placements where a flexible stem allows the head to pivot out of position under body weight, and the offset lobe geometry tracks crack variations in both planes during loading without requiring a perfectly parallel placement. Available in five sizes covering #.1/.2 through #.5/.75 (10.4 to 33.3mm), with weights from 45g to 80g and strength ratings of 5 to 10kN, the Camalot Z4 Offset occupies the same crack size range as the standard Z4 but with the placement geometry purpose-built for pin-scarred features where offset lobe contact is the difference between a marginal piece and a trustworthy one.
