Why We Like the Blizzard Zero G LT 80 W Alpine Touring Ski

The Blizzard Zero G LT 80 W Alpine Touring Ski is a lightweight ski designed to take on the biggest missions in the mountains. To this end, the Zero G LT 80 was designed as a ski mountaineering tool and this means a ski that is incredibly light but also stable enough to get you down safely, and with the signature Blizzard focus on downhill feel, you'll also get down in style. At the heart of the LT 80 is the TrueBlend Tour Woodcore, which uses primarily Paulownia but has Poplar reinforcement throughout. To add stiffness and stability where you need it most, the Poplar is concentrated underfoot and through the tail. A unidirectional carbon fiber chassis reinforces the wood core and adds additional rigidity. The wood and carbon combine to create a flex pattern that remains stiff underfoot and softer through the tips and tails. The result is downhill performance for demanding lines while still keeping the ski forgiving and easy to ski– a critical trait for big exposure and no fall zones. Without compromising on feel, Blizzard created a 980 gram (171 cm) ski that punches above its weight class. For the avid ski mountaineer or backcountry fiend looking for a versatile and speedy ski, consider the Zero G LT 80.
