Cardiff Swell Enduro Splitboard
The Cardiff Swell Enduro Splitboard is a surf-shaped powder split for riders who tour for storm days, deep trees and open faces and want the board to plane and slash rather than plow. A 330 mm nose and 30 mm of taper put the float up front, while HALFcamber 60, a profile that is 60% camber and 40% rocker, starts the camber at the rear foot so the tail stays loose and the turn finishes surfy. Cardiff builds the Swell Enduro around an AMERIcore Split core, a cedar and aspen wood core laced with web-fused carbon, finished with 2.2 mm hardened edges, which suits riders who want a deep-snow board that also survives rocky approaches season after season.

Why We Like It
- A 330 mm nose against a 300 mm tail gives the Swell Enduro 30 mm of taper on every size, so the nose rides high and the tail sinks and pivots in deep snow without the rider leaning back.
- HALFcamber 60 starts the camber at the rear foot and lets rocker lift the nose well ahead of the front binding, which keeps the front of the board planing while the cambered middle still grips the skin track.
- Cardiff positions each size for a different job: the 154 as the alternative surf shape, the 160 as the daily driver and the 164 as the big gun. All three share the same 330 mm nose and 289.6 mm front-foot width, so the longer sizes add running length and a longer sidecut rather than width.
- The Enduro build is chosen for hard use: UNIwall sidewalls, a urethane layer fused into the wood core, FORGEDtail urethane tail protectors, and 2.2 mm edges hardened to 48 Rockwell.
Best Uses
- Storm days and deep powder in open bowls
- Tight trees where a loose tail helps
- Surf-style slashes and slarves on soft snow
- Couloirs and steep faces when the snow is deep
- Riders building a powder board into a two-board quiver
Splitboard Selection Advice
Choose a Cardiff Swell Enduro Splitboard size by riding style as much as by rider size, because Cardiff positions each length for a different job. The 154 is the alternative surf shape, the 160 is the daily driver, and the 164 is the big gun. Surface area runs 4,144 cm² on the 154, 4,392 cm² on the 160 and 4,478 cm² on the 164, and the waist barely changes, 268 mm to 269.4 mm, so length and surface area are what grow, not width. Every size carries a 289.6 mm front-foot width and a 276.4 mm rear-foot width, which Cardiff marks on the board, so check boot overhang there rather than at the waist.
The effective edge is 1,180 mm on all three sizes, short for a board this long, and that is deliberate: more of the length is rockered nose. Expect the Swell Enduro to ask for more care on firm, exposed traverses than a longer-edged board, and plan crampons for icy skin tracks. The board is sold on its own, so the binding interface and skins are separate purchases; confirm the puck pattern of your binding system before mounting. Reference stance is 580 mm on every size, adjustable from 520 to 640 mm, with a 20 mm setback.

Swell Enduro vs. Cardiff Powgoda Enduro Splitboard
Both are Cardiff powder splits on the same cedar and aspen core. The Cardiff Powgoda Enduro Splitboard runs 20 mm of taper, a 50% camber profile and shorter sizes from 148 cm, built for playful, freestyle-leaning powder riding. The Swell Enduro carries 30 mm of taper and a surf nose for bigger, faster, more drawn-out turns.

Same Enduro build, different job. The Cardiff Goat Enduro Splitboard is the all-snow freeride board with 12 mm of taper, 59% camber and a longer effective edge for firm traverses. The Swell Enduro gives up that firm-snow security for more float and a looser tail in deep snow.
