The Dynafit Rotation 7 is an entry-level binding designed for lighter skiers: kids or lightweight women/men. Having a RV range from 2.5 - 7.0 allows a reliable release for people who don't weigh enough for other alpine tech binding equivalents. An AFD plate on the brake promotes consistent lateral release from the heel and the toe piece is built on the Dynafit Rotation plate to facilitate a smoother lateral release from the toe as well. With 22 mm of boot-length adjustment, you can get your kid a pair of tech bindings knowing that there is plenty of room for growth without remounting the bindings. For the gram counters, these bindings clock in at 587 grams. Kudos to Dynafit for providing light riders with a safe tech option.

My two kids wanted to start skinning with me when the resorts closed so I called Cripple Creek and they helped me put together a couple of perfect setups. These bindings were recommended because they are designed for individuals who need easier release from the binding. I think the release goes down to 2 and up to 7, so there's a good amount of range and the kids can use them for years to come. Overall, the bindings have everything you could want - brakes, heel risers, and easy to use. Stepping into the toe takes some practice but after a couple tries the kids had it down easy. There's not much to dislike about them - happy about the purchase, would recommend.
