I’ve had these skis out about a dozen times now both back country and at the resort in Northern Vermont. I’ve skied them mostly in powder from 2” to 2 feet and they float and turn really well. They are light for an east coast ski and I would not reccomend them for icy conditions, but for soft groomers they are adequate and actually quite fast when you put them on edge. In Fresh snow they come alive, super playful, poppy and predictable, it took me no time at all to fall for these skis especially in the glades where they are surefooted and easy to turn, inspiring confidence. I don’t notice the weight going uphill, but I don’t have a super light set up, I can’t imagine wanting anything more flexible since I ski these as a 50/50 back country and resort (on snow days). If you’re looking for a hard charging groomer ski, this isn’t it, but if you want a once ski quiver for powder in and out of bounds I would consider these.
