Bootfitter's Advice
The Scarpa Alien 1.0 runs a 99 mm last, narrow and low through the forefoot and instep, and comes in whole Mondo sizes only from 24 to 30. Sizing is decided by shell fit; there is no half-size fallback if a foot lands between two shells.
Carbon Grilamid LFT, a carbon-reinforced nylon, tends to crack rather than stretch when heated, so this shell should be treated as effectively unpunchable. Fit is won with the Intuition Cross Fit BT liner, a heat-moldable foam liner, and with size selection, not with shell work.
