If you’ve been ski-touring in the last decade, then the chances are very good that you’ve come across the Maestrale Boot from Scarpa. We’ve been relying on this boot for years and we could not be more excited about the newest improvements for the 2020 season. Scarpa collaborated with Intuition for an improved Cross Fit Pro Flex Touring Liner. Retaining its reputation for warmth and durability the improved liner features anatomic tongue construction, an elastic band across the instep, and heel inserts that ensure the highest performance fit. The Power Strap also received an upgrade with a Velcro Strap closure and light aluminum ring which ensures maximum support and stiffness without adding unnecessary weight. Finally, the 2020 Maestrale features environmentally friendly PeBax RNEW Plastic for reliable, lightweight performance.
While we are beyond stoked at the upgraded to Scarpa’s best selling touring boot, we are equally excited about what they didn’t change. 60 degrees of frictionless articulation and a lightweight construction means you will have no problem getting deep into the backcountry. If conditions in the backcountry aren’t stable, and you want to lap the resort, the Maestrale can handle that too. With a wave closure forefoot buckle and a heel locking ankle strap, the Maestrale offers incredible power transmission allowing you to drive a big powerful ski. The bottom line is if you are looking for a versatile, comfortable, and proven ski touring boot then you don’t need to look any farther.

Used it yesterday for some slushy backcountry. Worked great for hiking! 4 start for now as I still need to get it worn in and make sure it's comfortable for an entire day.
