This 2-piston disc brake from Shimano, the Deore XT BR-M8200 caliper with BL-M8200 lever, left/front, is built for cross-country and trail riders who want light, precise braking. The 2-piston BR-M8200 caliper keeps weight down while delivering the controlled power XC riding calls for.

The 2-finger BL-M8200 lever, about 114 grams, uses Servo Wave for quick pad engagement plus tool-less reach and free stroke adjust to tune lever feel. It runs Shimano low-viscosity mineral oil through an SM-BH90-SBM hose, uses finned metal pads to manage heat, and mounts post-mount with roughly a 1000mm front hose.

As the 2-piston Deore XT option, it gives XC and trail riders XT lever features in a lighter package than the 4-piston M8220.
