AlpenFlow 89 Hybrid Binding

The Alpenflow 89 is a touring binding that pairs downhill-ready release with quick, ski-mo style transitions. Its patent-pending LockTurn toe piece rotates with the boot through the full elastic travel while keeping it mechanically locked in, unlocking only once that travel is used up to guard against pre-release. An alpine heel piece controls release in both directions, with lateral and vertical values adjustable from 5 to 13, and provides 40 mm of lateral elastic travel (20 mm each way) and 9 mm vertically. Adjustable forward pressure and a 24 mm stack height keep the ski flexing naturally, and the mounting track offers 27.5 mm of boot sole length adjustment. For climbing, the heel piece doubles as the riser, with an added lever for flat, 8°, and 13° positions at 42 mm and 66 mm of heel lift. A guided step-in and an automatic toe brake make clicking in easy, and switching between tour, riser, and ski modes takes only a pole tip. The removable brake comes in 90, 100, 110, and 120 mm widths and weighs 42 g. Each binding weighs 790 g with the brake or 750 g without, and is built from 7075 and 6061 aluminum, steel, bronze, Nylatron, and Delrin. It accepts ISO 9523 touring and ISO 23223 GripWalk soles.
